Job Description:

Envision, Creative Support for People with Developmental Disabilities: Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities in Weld County. We are looking for an individual to become a part of our team as a Supported  Employment Specialist.

 

SHIFT:  full time, 36 hours per week, Monday - Sunday shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays


PAY RATE: $18.01 per hour plus paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick time

 

SUMMARY: 

 This position requires an energetic and organized person with proven knowledge, skills and abilities in providing employment skills training and ongoing employment supports to ensure job satisfaction and job retention for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) who are seeking employment or who benefit from assistance in maintaining their employment as a valued member of their community. The primary role will be providing job skills training in both a group and individualized service delivery model. The goal being to help the people we support gain necessary skills from working collaboratively within a group to then securing a job within the community and receiving on-going one on one employment support.

 

Experience and Skills:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a drivers license for two years  and acceptable driving record.
  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • One year full time experience providing supported employment services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Good knowledge/understanding of local community resources and businesses is preferred.
  • Ability to complete training in the areas of first Aid/CPR, medication administration, defensive driving, behavior management and crisis intervention.
  • Employment is contingent on the results of a required post offer drug screening test and criminal back ground check.
  • Must have motor vehicle, provide proof of automobile insurance, have a valid Colorado Driver’s license and acceptable driving record. An unacceptable driving record is a record with more than 3 occurrences of any combination of accidents (regardless of fault) or moving violations during the past three years and/or a record with 1 serious violation in last three years.
